About The Event

Long time friend and Celebrant to many of the Sisters' Religious Masses, Parochial Vicar Rev. Fr. John Gruben, OAR, Prior of Tagaste Monastery, along with Rev. Fr. Eric Crelencia, OAR. and Pastor Rev. Fr. Michael Rafferty, OAR of Sacred Heart Parish in Suffern, NY will be celebrating a special and final Memorial Mass for every Religious Sister of the "Sisters of Reparation of the Congregation of Mary"; an order of Religious Sisters in Existence since its establishment by his Eminence the Archbishop John Murphy Farley in 1903, until the final Mother Superior's passed during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Having helped over 100,000 helpless and needy women over a span of 117 years, we will pay homage to and pray for those women who have courageously said "Yes" to the Call from God. The Brave Sacrifice of self to the Evangelical Counsels of Poverty, Chastity, and Obedience from the day of their Perpetual Vows, until their last day on this Earth, is to be commended and prayed for as we pray for more Vocations to Religious Life, for the life of our Church. As such, we will also be praying for Vocations to the Religious Brotherhood and Sisterhood, all other forms of Religious Life, and most of all to the Priesthood and Diaconate, without which the Christian Faithful cannot receive the Holy Sacraments. Our Supreme Pontiff has even acknowledged this Crisis, and so we ask that all Religious / Ordained, and Christian Faithful come to remember those who had succumbed to the pandemic and other illness this past 3 years, and pray for the Repose of the Sisters of Reparation of the Congregation of Mary; From it's Foundress Mother Superioress Mother Mary Zita, to Mother Superior Sister Maureen Francis O'Shea. All are welcome who are friends to the Sisters, regardless of Religious Beliefs, and immediately following the 1 hour Mass from 6pm - 7pm, there will be a "Friends of St. Zita's" Catered Event in the Dining Hall at Sacred Heart Parish. Kindly R.S.V.P. with how many guests from your party we should expect either by email to info@divinemercies.org , filling out the RSVP form, or by calling 1-(866)-7-MERCIES. God Bless you All.
